Transferring your phone number to Lucky Mobile    


Wireless number portability lets you keep the same phone number when changing wireless service providers. You can keep your phone number when switching from:

  • One wireless service provider to another;
  • A home phone service to a wireless service;

There are no additional fees to transfer your number to Lucky Mobile, but you are responsible for any contractual obligation with your previous service provider.

How do I transfer my phone number to Lucky Mobile?

You can transfer your number to Lucky Mobile at the time of activation. When completing the transfer, you will receive a text message from your current carrier to authorize the transfer.

You can activate your service online, with the Lucky Mobile My Account app, or by visiting a Lucky Mobile store.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT cancel your current service and ensure that your account is in good standing, as only active phone numbers are eligible to be transferred.

Can any number be transferred?

Not all numbers are transferable. For example, the following cannot be transferred:

  • Inactive numbers
  • Page numbers
  • Numbers from areas that do not support transfers of phone numbers

You'll be able to check if your number is transferable by visiting a lucky Mobile store.

I’m transferring my phone number to Lucky Mobile and didn’t receive the text message to validate my phone number transfer – what should I do?

I’m transferring my Lucky Mobile phone number to another carrier and didn’t receive the text message to approve my phone number transfer – what should I do?

If you haven’t received the validation text message within an hour of trying to transfer your Lucky Mobile phone number to another carrier, please ensure your account is not suspended, and that your balance is at $0. You can check the status of your account as well as your balance with the Lucky Mobile My Account app or My Account.

Is my phone compatible with Lucky Mobile’s network?

Most phones are! All you need is a Lucky Mobile SIM Card. In some rare instances, your phone may not be compatible. For more details, click here
