How to use Voice over LTE
What you'll need
Voice over LTE (VoLTE) allows you to make voice calls over the LTE network. It enables faster call setup times, improved voice quality when calling another VoLTE-capable device, simultaneous use of voice and LTE data.
To take advantage of this service, you must have:
-
A compatible device
Only Lucky certified devices are included in this list. VoLTE capable devices that are not certified for VoLTE use on Lucky (including devices purchased outside of Canada) are not guaranteed to be supported on the network.
-
An eligible rate plan with data and an LTE SIM card
Lucky plans are eligible for VoLTE only.
-
VoLTE enabled on your device
Newer software versions enable VoLTE automatically, while older versions may require you to turn on the VoLTE switch manually.

Voice calls are made exactly the same way as you would make a call today. Since Voice over LTE is activated by default, all you need to do is place a call while in the applicable coverage area. Important: when calling 9-1-1, do not add * or # before the number. For details about voice and data charges, see the "Pricing" section below. |
